ARREST: KIMBERLY R COFFEY

3572 AMPHETAMINE-POSSESS
7054 WARRANT (FREE TEXT)
3550C DRUG PARAPHERNALIA POSSESS
5450 AUTOS TOWED

On this date and time, I observed a vehicle traveling west bound on SR62 that only had one taillight illumination on the vehicle. I conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Kimberly Coffey. I then ran Kimberly through LEAD's and she returned having an active warrant out of Portage County. I confirmed with dispatch that there is an active warrant on Kimberly and Portage County Sheriff's Office did want to obtain custody of Kimberly for the warrant. I then took Kimberly into custody (checking for tightness and double locking) at 2250hrs on 08/08/2022. I spoke with Kimberly and advised her that I must conduct an inventory search of the vehicle due to the vehicle being towed. I asked Kimberly if there was anything inside the vehicle that I needed to be aware of? Kimberly stated, "no not that she is aware of". I then began conducting an inventory search of the vehicle.

During my search I was searching through Kimberly's purse and located a tums bottle. Inside the bottle was a clear baggie wrapped up and shoved inside the bottle. When I removed the baggie there was a white powder residue and crystals inside which suspected to be methamphetamine. I then showed Kimberly what I had found and asked her what it was? Kimberly advised me "that it is meth". I then asked Kimberly if there was anything else in the vehicle, and she stated, "somewhere in the back in glass pipes but that should be it". I then located the pipe inside a brown paper bag that was in a backpack located in the back of the car. I advised Kimberly that she will be charged for the pipe and what is suspected to be methamphetamine. I then transported Kimberly to Deerfield circle to meet Portage County Sheriff Deputy. Portage County SO then obtained custody of Kimberly at 2344hrs, and this unit cleared.

On 12/4/22 at 2137 Hrs., while on patrol in Smith Township, Mahoning County, I was sitting stationary on Railroad St at Mahoning Ave, when I observed a blue Honda traveling south on Mahoning Ave between Alliance Sebring Rd and Railroad St. I observed the vehicle to be driving completely in the on- coming lane of travel, and swerving off the eastside of the roadway striking the berm of the roadway. As the crossed over the Norfolk Southern railroad tracks the vehicle slowed down and continued to stay in the on-coming lane of travel. As the vehicle passed my location I observed a white female driver slumped on the steering wheel as to possibly falling asleep. As the vehicle continued southbound I observed the vehicle driving with the driver side of the vehicle partially in the parking lot of Broadway Iron and partially in the on-coming lane of travel.

As I pulled out behind the vehicle, with my overhead pursuit lights activated, I observed vehicles approaching in the opposite direction and the suspect vehicle still in the middle of the roadway. I activated ny audible Sirens, and at that time the vehicle swerved across the roadway almost striking a utility pole and curb, and then stopped with the passenger tires against the curb. I made contact with the driver, and she was identified as one Erica Dawn Kaurich of 1693 Case Rd, in Beloit. I ascertained if she was ok, and she advised me that she was fine, and was just trying to get home. As I was speaking to Erica, I could detect a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her person, and her eyes were very glassy, and speech very slowed and slurred.

I advised Erica of the reason for the stop, and she Stated " I was driving like that" I also ascertained if she had her Operator's License, and if she could get them for me, and she advised yes but never attempted to get them even after several requests. I advised Erica that she appeared to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage, and she advised me that she had been up at BW 3's for the Browns game, and had 2 glasses of wine.

Erica also advised me that she was also at a friendís house drinking wine before heading home. I advised her that I was going to request for her to exit her car, and perform a series of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, and she agreed to do so. Erica opened the driver door, and as she started to get she lost her balance and grabbed onto the door and me to regain her balance. Erica was escorted to the sidewalk on the westside of the roadway to perform the test.

I also requested assistance from the Alliance Police Dept, and Officer Lauener arrived and stood by. While on scene Officer Lauener, advised that he was dispatched to the same vehicle ref to a possible OVI/ Reckless Operation in the city.

The first test that Erica was going to perform was the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus, and I explained how the test was to be performed, and Erica advised that she understood. Erica was advised to stand with her feet together, and to keep her arms down at her side, I positioned my pen approximately 12 inches in front of her eyes. I checked her pupil size, and I checked for equal tracking. Erica was also advised to follow the stimulus( Tip of My Pen) with her eyes, and only her eyes.

Starting with her left eye she was found to have Lack of Smooth Pursuit, in both eyes, as well Distinct Nystagmus in both left and right eyes. Erica also was found to have Nystagmus prior to 45 Degrees in both eyes.

The second test was the One Leg Stand Test, and I explained and demonstrated how the test was to be performed, and she advised that she understood how the test was to be done. Erica was advised to stand with her feet together and her arms down to her side and she attempted to do this but lost her balance several times, and had to be steadied by this officer. While giving the instructions to erica she continued to start the test even after be advised not to start till advised to begin. Erica also failed to raise her right or left foot approx. 6 inches as instructed, and she continued to raise her arms to regain her balance. Erica also failed to count as instructed, and put her foot on the number # 1 3 1 after she restarted the test using a different foot.

The last test was the walk and turn, and Erica was advised to put her left foot on the line, which was placed on the pavement by Officer Lauener, and then put her right foot on the line in front of her left touching her heel to her toe. Erica was unable to keep her foot on the line and kept stumbling and had to be steadied. Erica also started the test several time after being instructed to not start till I advised he to begin. Erica then attempted to perform the test but was unable to walk touching her heel to her toe, and stumbled off the line on #2 3 8. Erica also took 11 steps instead of 9 as instructed, and failed to make the turn as instructed. Erica started to walk back, but her balance was so poor, the test was stopped.

At 2151 Hrs., Erica was placed in custody for OVI, and was restrained with handcuff's that was gapped and double locked.

Springer's was dispatched to remove the vehicle and Officer Lauener stood by until the vehicle was removed. Erica was then transported to the Sebring Police Dept for a breath test. At 2202 Hrs.,

I arrived at Sebring Police Dept, and Erica was assisted into the station due to her balance being so poor. While on station Dispatched Wheeler assisted Erica into the restroom and had to hold on to her to prevent her from falling. Erica was also read and shown the BMV 2255 Consequences of refusal, and she agreed to take the breath test.

Officer Ray readied the Intox 8000, and when it was time for Erica to perform the test she advised that she didn't want to take the test and that she wanted her boyfriend to come before she would do the test. After the startup was ready Erica still kept stating that she didnít know what to do. I explained the consequences if she refused and after the allotted time ran out at 2212 Hrs., the test was marked as a refusal.

Erica was then transported to the Smith Twp Police for processing, and cited for Left of Center, and OVI Refusal and given the court date of 12/8/22 at 8:30 Am in Mcc#3.

4511.20 RECKLESS OPERATION

4511.21D SPEED ON STATE ROUTE / INTERSTATE

On this date and time, I was stopping a Motorcycle on U.S 62 near S. 15th St which resulted in a pursuit.

On this date and time, I was on patrol in Smith Twp, Mahoning County, when I observed a Blue Motorcycle traveling west on U.S. 62 ( Harrisburg Westville Rd, between S. 12th St and S. 15th St. I observed the vehicle traveling at a visibly high rate of speed, and the vehicle was clocked via the radar at 90 mph in a posted 55 mph zone. I activated My Overhead Pursuit lights, and the motorcycle began to accelerate up and attempting to flee from myself. At that point I activated my Audible Sirens, and the vehicle then turned Right on S. 15th St and began operating at a very high rate of speed, and very recklessly. I advised dispatched that I was in Pursuit of the motorcycle, and the direction. I observed the driver to be a white male and he had a Multi colored (White Yellow Helmet). As the vehicle was traveling north on S. 15th St, I observed him driving down the middle of the roadway, causing oncoming vehicles, and vehicles proceeding in the same direction to pull over.

As I reached the Village I observed the motorcycle fail to stop for the legally erected stop sign on S. 15th St and Texas Ave, and I observed several children playing in yards in the area. As we reached the intersection of S. 15th St and Georgia, I observed the motorcycle still at a high rate of speed, fail to comply with Officer Ray that pulled behind the suspect vehicle, with his Overheads on. As the vehicle reached the train tracks on S. 15th St and California Ave, I observed the gates down and a train coming and was very close to the gates. At this point the motorcycle swerved around the gates almost being struck by the train.

Both myself and Officer Ray stopped, and advised dispatch that the pursuit was ended, and the direction of the vehicle. As the vehicle continued northbound on 15th St I observed it still operating at a high rate of speed and I also observed bystanders walking near the road and on the sidewalk.

As the trains cleared the tracks I drove down 15th St, and was stopped by several females standing outside the Log Cabin Bar, and they advised me that the male on the motorcycle lived on N. 15th St at Michigan Ave. Myself and Officer Ray arrived at 656 N. 15th St, and we found the motorcycle in the garage but was unable to locate the male now known to us as Brennan Carr of that residence. At 1759 Hrs., the homeowner one Madeline Aberegg, arrived home, and advised Officers, that her boyfriend Brennan Carr called her and advised her that he was speeding and he "ran from the cops, and he Fucked up".

Springer's was dispatched to remove the vehicle. Brennan also advised Officer Ray that he fled from me that he was going to turn himself in. As I was at the residence Brennan called Madeline and I spoke to him, He advised me that He really Fucked Up, and that he knew that he shouldn't of ran from me. Brennan then advised that he was going to just kill himself and he hung up.

At 2008 Hrs., Brennan came to the station and was taken into custody, and after processing was transported to the Mahoning County Jail by Sgt. Davis.

ARREST: MARY HYRONlMUS, Age 63
125 W WISCONSIN AVE., SEBRING, OH

Charges :
4511.21 SPEED
4511.19A1 OVI OR OVI REFUSAL

On this date and time I observed a vehicle traveling east bound on Alliance Sebring Rd. that appeared to be exceeding the posted speed limit. I observed the vehicle was traveling over the posted speed limit and conducted a traffic stop. When the vehicle came to a stop, I spoke with the driver who I identified as Mary Hyronimus. When speaking to Mary about the reason about the stop I could smell a strong odder of an alcoholic beverage coming from Mary's facial area. When observing Mary, I could see her eyes were glossy and her speech was slurred. I then asked Mary if she had any alcoholic beverages tonight. Mary stated that she had six beers. I then returned to my cruiser and turned my overhead lights to only run in the rear of the cruiser and turned my spotlight off. I asked Mary to turn the motor off to her vehicle and to step out to conduct standardized Field sobriety test. Mary complied to all requests.

I then asked Mary to the front of her car safe from any traffic. I asked her to stand with her feet together and hands at her side. I then instructed Mary to follow with her eyes and eyes only the tip of my pen that was placed approximately twelve inches away from her face and slightly elevated above eye level. I then start to look for lack of smooth pursuit. I could see the nystagmus in her eyes. Mary then began to move her head with my pen. I Instructed Mary again to not follow with her head and only her eyes. Mary again moved her head when attempting to conduct the tests. I then advised Mary to rest her head on her hand so that way she was not tempted to move her head. Mary did not agree. I then stopped testing due to lack of cooperation and attempted to conduct the walk and turn test.

I instructed Mary to place her right hot in front of her left foot, hands at her side while I give instructions.

Mary placed her left foot in front of her right foot and began to sway almost causing her to fall. I then asked Mary again to stand with her right foot in front of her left foot and not to move until she is instructed to move. Mary then could not follow the instructions and stated, "you caught me. so I don't know why I have to do this".

I then stopped testing due to lack of cooperation. I then advised Mary that she is under arrest for OVl and read Mary her Miranda rights. I then placed Mary into hand cuff's checking gap and double lock for safety. I then asked Mary if she would submit to a breath test? Mary responded yes. I then transported Mary to Sebring PD where the test was conducted.

When the test was being conducted Mary could not blow long enough to get a locked in reading. The test was conducted twice and got the same results. The test was then complete and could not lock in results due to Mary's inability lo perform the test requirements.

I then transported Mary to Smith Township Police Department and was fingerprinted, photographed, and issued a citation. Mary was advised that she must appear in court at MCC#3 at 0900hrs on 09/15/2022. Mary was given copies of all the paperwork and was transported to 515 W. Georgia Ave. and released to her daughter.

This unit cleared.

CITED: For Speed and for possession of
Marijuana

While sitting stationary on Todd at Lake Park, the
defendants vehicle, a red Chevy pickup was
observed traveling west bound. The vehicle
appeared to be traveling faster than the posted 40
mph speed limit. The hand held radar was
activated, a strong audible tone was heard, and
the target speed reading of 57 mph was obtained.
A traffic stop was then initiated. Before
approaching the vehicle Officer noticed both
subjects moving very rapid and frantic.

Once Officer made contact the defendant was
identified as Scott W. Womer Jr.

While explaining the reason to Mr. Womer why
Officer stopped him Officer noticed a very strong
odor of burnt Marijuana. Mr. Womer immediately
became very defensive and advised he was not
speeding and demanded to come back to my
cruiser (car #31) and look at my radar unit. Officer
advised Mr. Womer for my safety of him getting
out of the vehicle and him walking along the
roadway Officer would not take him to my cruiser.

I then questioned Mr. Womer about the smell of
Marijuana. Mr. Womer again got very defensive
and changed the subject several times going back
to claiming he was not speeding. At that time
Officer asked Mr. Womer if he had Marijuana or
anything else in the vehicle that he should not.
When Mr. Womer would not cooperate Officer
requested mutual aid from Alliance PD to see if a
K9 unit was available.

Mr. Womer quickly changed his attitude and
handed me a bag with a small amount of
Marijuana. Mr. Womer then started to claim that it
is not his and that it belongs to a friend he is
employed with.

Mr. Womer stated the smell is from letting other
employees whom he works with at VacuForm
smoke Marijuana in his vehicle in the parking lot
of his employment. Mr. Womer once again tried
changing the subject stating he was only doing 50
mph in a 40 mph zone and that my radar unit
needed calibrated.

Mr. Womer was cited under ORC 4511.21 for
Speed and ORC 2925.11 for possession of
Marijuana with a court date of 1/22/15 at 11 :00
hrs at MCC# 3. The bag containing Marijuana was

2925.1 1 MARIJUANA-POSSESS MM

On 1/16/15 at approx. 15:44 hrs while sitting
stationary on Todd at Lake Park, the defendants
vehicle, a red Chevy pickup was observed
traveling west bound. The vehicle appeared to be
traveling faster than the posted 40 mph speed
limit. The hand held radar was activated, a strong
audible tone was heard, and the target speed
reading of 57 mph was obtained.

A traffic stop was then initiated. Before
approaching the vehicle officer noticed both
subjects moving very rapid and frantic. Once
officer made contact the defendant was identified
as Scott W. Womer Jr. While explaining the
reason to Mr. Womer why officer stopped him
officer noticed a very strong odor of burnt
Marijuana. Mr. Womer immediately became very
defensive and advised he was not speeding and
demanded to come back to my cruiser (car #31)
and look at my radar unit. officer advised Mr.
Womer for my safety of him getting out of the
vehicle and him walking along the roadway officer
would not take him to my cruiser.

officer then questioned Mr. Womer about the
smell of Marijuana. Mr. Womer again got very
defensive and changed the subject several times
going back to claiming he was not speeding. At
that time officer asked Mr. Womer if he had
Marijuana or anything else in the vehicle that he
should not. When Mr. Womer would not cooperate
officer requested mutual aid from Alliance PD to
see if a K9 unit was available. Mr. Womer quickly
changed his attitude and handed me a bag with a
small amount of Marijuana. Mr. Womer then
started to claim that it is not his and that it belongs
to a friend he is employed with.

Mr. Womer stated the smell is from letting other
employees whom he works with at VacuForm
smoke Marijuana in his vehicle in the parking lot
of his employment. Mr. Womer once again tried
changing the subject stating he was only doing 50
mph in a 40 mph zone and that my radar unit
needed calibrated.

Mr. Womer was cited under ORC 45 1 1.2 1 for
Speed and ORC 2925.1 1 for possession of
Marijuana with a court date of 112211 5 at 11:00
hrs at MCC# 3. The bag containing Marijuana was
placed into the evidence locker.
