One Dead After Car vs.
Motorcycle Crash in Unity Township on Wednesday June 22, 2022
Unity Township, Ohio-
Troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol Lisbon Post are investigating a
fatal crash involving a car vs motorcycle. The crash occurred at 6:52P.M. on
State Route 165 near mile post 2 in Unity Township.
A 2016 Dodge Caravan was
traveling south on State Route 165. A 2005 Suzuki, GSX-R 600 was traveling
north on State Routc 165. Thc Dodge turned left into a private driveway and was
struck by the Suzuki, killing the motorcycle rider.
The driver of the Suzuki,
Cameron J. Boots, 21, of East Palestine, Ohio was pronounced dead on scene.
Boots was wearing his helmet at the t:ime of the crash.
The driver of the Dodge,
Wanda Land, 51, of Youngstown, Ohio was transported by New Waterford EMS with
non-life-threatening injurics to St. Elizabeth's in Youngstown. Mrs. Land had a
15-year-old juvenile passenger at the time of the crash. She was also
transported with non-life-threatening injuries to St. Elizabeth's by East
Palestine EMS.
Assisting agencies on
scene were East Palestine Fire and EMS, New Waterford Fire and EMS.
The crash still remains
under investigation at this time.
