January 21, 2020 Lieutenant Tina Jackson Fatal Crash on State Route 11 Lenox Township – The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Ashtabula Post is investigating a crash that involved three vehicles and resulted in one fatality. The crash occurred around 12:01 pm on January 20, 2020, on State Route 11 near mile marker 81 in Lenox Township. A white 2019 Ford F550 truck was disabled in the median on State Route 11. The truck was driven by Ibrahim Al-Halalmeh, 22, of Lowellville, Ohio. A black 1997 Dodge Ram, driven by Garrett Haskin, 18, of Canfield, Ohio, had stopped to assist by pulling the disabled F550 from the median. Once the disabled truck was removed from the median, it rolled across the northbound lanes of State Route 11 and was struck by a white 2008 Ford F150, which was driven by Brandon White, 37, of Austinburg, Ohio. Mr. White succumbed to his injuries from the crash. No other injuries resulted from the crash. Emergency personnel from the Jefferson Fire Department and South Central Ambulance District as well as personnel from the Ohio Department of Transportation were present at the scene for assistance. Mr. White was wearing a safety belt at the time of the crash and there is no suspicion that alcohol was involved.
