SRMC Offers Covid-19
Vaccine To Seniors 80+
(SALEM, OHIO) – January 15, 2021 –Salem Regional Medical Center (SRMC) will
distribute 100 Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccines to seniors 80 years of age and
older by appointment only on Friday, January 22 from 9 a.m.- 2 p.m. The vaccine
will be prioritized for these high-risk individuals, in accordance with Ohio
Governor Mike DeWine’s phased approach to immunize those at the highest risk of
exposure to the coronavirus.
How To Register: Because SRMC will only have a limited supply of the vaccines,
all recipients must register in advance. Appointments will be granted to the
first 100 eligible callers, who are 80 years old and over. No walk-in
vaccinations will be administered at SRMC’s vaccine clinic on January 22.
Those interested in receiving the vaccine should call SRMC’s Human Resources
Department at 330-332-7148, Monday- Friday from 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., to
register for an appointment. Callers must provide their name, phone number and
birthdate to register. There is no charge to receive the Covid-19 vaccination.
The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine requires a second dose to be given approximately 21
days after the first dose. More information will be provided at the SRMC
Vaccine Clinic about scheduling the second dose.
Where To Go: SRMC’s Vaccine Clinic will be located on the ground floor of the
Hospital, which is located at 1995 East State Street in Salem. Those with
scheduled appointments should enter the campus from East Pershing Street and
park in the Surgery Center lot. Participants should then enter the building
through the Surgery Center entrance and will be asked to provide a
government-issued ID upon arrival.

SRMC is a member of Columbiana County’s Vaccine Taskforce, which is providing
several locations where eligible seniors can pre-register to receive their
vaccine. To register or for more information about other area vaccine sites,

More vaccination clinics will be planned in the coming weeks as the Taskforce
launches a phased approach for the vaccine roll-out in alignment with Ohio’s
priority groups, who are at the highest risk of exposure.
