Week of August 15, 2022
Mahoning County (Thursday, August 11, 2022) – The following
construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Mahoning County
next week. All scheduled work is weather
permitting.
Interstate 680 bridge replacements, Youngstown
NEW IMPACT – Beginning Monday, August 22, Four Mile Rd. over I-680 will be
closed through late November for a bridge replacement. The detour will be Crum
Rd. to Meridian Rd. to Salt Springs Rd. to Liberty St.
CONTINUING IMPACTS - The following lane closures are currently in place:
Bella Vista Ave. over I-680 is closed through late August.
The southbound detour is Salt Springs Rd. to Steel St. to Wellington
Ave. The northbound detour is Mahoning Ave. to Hazelwood Ave. to
Cherry Hill.
The following locations have various daily and nightly lane restrictions for
bridge repairs:
I-680 under Bella Vista Ave.I-680 under Four Mile Run Rd.
Estimated completion, late October 2022
Interstate 680 spot paving, Youngstown & Austintown Township
I-680 between I-80/SR 11 and South Ave. has various nightly lane restrictions
between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. for pavement repairs. Estimated
completion, late September 2022.
U.S. 62 & State Route 7 resurfacing
The following routes have various lane restrictions:
SR 7 from SR 170 to U.S. 62U.S. 62 from Meridian Rd. to Chestnut Hill Dr.
Estimated completion, late September 2022.
US 422 pavement repairs, Youngstown
U.S. 422 between Covington St. and Oak St. is reduced to one lane in each
direction. Estimated completion, mid-August 2022.
State Route 626 railroad crossing repairs, Beaver Township
NEW IMPACT – SR 626 between E. Calla Rd. and Forest Ave.
is closed through Monday, August 15. The detour is SR 626 to SR 7 to
SR 164.
