FAIRFIELD TOWNSHIP TRUSTEES REGULAR MEETING on MARCH 15, 2012 :   Attending this meeting are Trustees BOB HUM (CHAIR), CARL GARWOOD, BARRY MINER  AND FISCAL OFFICER PAT HOFFMASTER.

    *Trustees approved holding a meeting on 22 March to set permanent appropriations for 2012 .
    *Bids for a dump truck bed and hydraulic system were opened at 7:30 and Road Superintendent Denny Farmer will submit his bid recommendation at the march 22nd meeting.
    *A road lift , reclaiming and chip and seal program was approved. It will start at Middleton Township and go south.
    *Trustees approved advertising for road asphalt for the 2012 road program.
    *Trustees approved a Road Department request to purchase pipeline and catch basins.
    *The board of zoning appeals will meet on April 3 at 7 PM.
    *Barry Miner reported that the punch list items are set to start on Beeson Mills Road.
    *Barry Miner reported that new signs designating Fairfield township limits have been put up by ODOT.
    *Trustees approved turning junk motor vehicle enforcement over to the Columbiana County sheriffs Department.
    *Trustees approved acceptance of insurance liability submitted by the Crestview baseball Association who wants to use the baseball field on route seven. Wayne Weiss also asked to put a new shed on the field and run electric for concessions .
    *Trustees will advertise notice that all winter Cemetery decorations in place before 24 March must be removed.
