FAIRFIELD TOWNSHIP TRUSTEES REGULAR MEETING on APRIL 19, 2012 :   Attending this meeting are Trustees BOB HUM (CHAIR), CARL GARWOOD, BARRY MINER  AND FISCAL OFFICER PAT HOFFMASTER.

Trustees okayed a purchase order on a 2013 international truck.  At road Superintendent Denny Farmers request an OK was given to spend $2500 for municipal signs.  $400 was approved for Motrim mower blades.  $10,000 was approved for resurfacing grindings from Acme trucking and $10,000 was approved for hot cold mix from Tri-County.  Denny said Chip and seal will take place August seventh through August 13 and August 21 through August 24. Seal Dry was applied to Kelly Park Road and dust control water was applied to Beeson Mills Road. A path was made for the new concession stand at the softball field.

A Twp. resident complained that for 3 1/2 years food was dumped on a weekly basis around his property. After finding a grocery receipt he stated that with Columbiana County Sheriff Detective assistance the person responsible has been located. The resident also asked Township trustees to blacktop the Retreat streets. He stated that residents there are paying anywhere from $400-$1300 in taxes every month and deserve more than Chip and Seal.
