I-76 between Gilchrist Rd. and Tallmadge Ave. has various nightly lane restrictions through late September for concrete pavement repairs. These repairs will occur nightly between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m.

 

State Route 162 in Copley Township

(Monday, September 23 until further notice)

Beginning Monday, September 23, SR 162/Copley Rd. westbound between Cleveland Massillon Rd. and Sunset Dr. will be closed through early October for roadway widening. The detour will be Cleveland Massillon Rd. to SR 261 to SR 21.

SR 162 at Cleveland Massillon Rd. has various lane restrictions for widening and resurfacing. This $800,000 widening project on SR 162 is scheduled to be completed by May 2020.

Cleveland Massillon Rd. between Pleasant Dr. and just north of the City of Barberton Corporation limit has various daily lane restrictions for roadway work. This $8 million widening project on Cleveland Massillon Rd. is scheduled to be completed by August 2020.

 

Howe Avenue in the City of Cuyahoga Falls

Howe Ave. eastbound between Main St. and Bucholzer Blvd. is CLOSED through late September for roadway reconstruction. The detour is Main St. to Independence Ave. to Bucholzer Blvd. This $5.9 million reconstruction project on Howe Ave. is scheduled to be completed by September 2020.

 

State Route 8 in the Cities of Cuyahoga Falls, Stow, Hudson & the Village of Boston Heights

SR 8 northbound and southbound between Graham Rd. and SR 303 has occasional nightly lane restrictions through late October for roadway repairs.

SR 8 northbound and southbound between Graham Rd. and SR 303 is reduced to two lanes through late October for roadway reconstruction. This $58.6 million project is scheduled to be completed by July 2022.

 

State Routes 18 & 261 in the City of Akron

The following routes have various daily and nightly lane restrictions for resurfacing:

         SR 18/W. Market St. from Hawkins Ave. to Portage Path

         SR 261 from SR 18/W. Market St. to Perkins St.

         SR 261 from Olive St. to SR 261/Tallmadge Ave.

This $1 million resurfacing and bridge repair project is scheduled to be completed by late September 2019.

The following ramps are CLOSED through late October for bridge repairs:

         The ramp from I-76/US 224 eastbound to I-76/Kenmore Leg eastbound. The detour will be I-277 eastbound to I-77 northbound.

         The ramp from I-277/US 224 westbound to I-76/Kenmore Leg eastbound. The detour will be I-76/US 224 westbound to SR 21 northbound.

         The ramp from Waterloo Rd. to I-277 westbound. The detour will be Waterloo Rd. to Main St. to I-277.

         The ramp from Kenmore Blvd. to I-76/Kenmore Leg eastbound. The detour will be Kenmore Blvd. to SR 93 south to I-277.

         I-76 eastbound and westbound at Cleveland Massillon Rd.

         I-76 eastbound and westbound at Barber Rd.

I-76 eastbound and westbound between Central Ave. and the Medina County line has various daily and nightly lane restrictions for striping. This $80.4 million widening project is scheduled to be completed by mid-October 2019.

 

Interstate 76 & Main Street in the City of Akron

The following ramps are closed through late November 2019:

         The ramp from SR 8 southbound to I-76 westbound is CLOSED. The detour is I-77 southbound to I-277 westbound to I-76/Kenmore Leg eastbound.

         The ramp from Main St. to I-76 westbound will be CLOSED through late fall 2019. The detour will be Bartges St. to Dart St. to SR 261 to SR 59 to I-76 westbound.

         The ramp from Lakeshore Blvd.to I-76 eastbound is CLOSED. The detours are northbound Lakeshore Blvd. to W. Thornton St. to Main St. or southbound Lakeshore Blvd. to Miller Rd. to Wolf Ledges to South St. to Main St.

Main St. and Broadway St. between Miller Rd. and Bartges St. has various lane restrictions for roadway construction. This work is part of an $84 million project to reconstruct I-76/Main St. and Broadway St. interchange in the City of Akron. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by July 2020.

 

Interstate 77 in the City of Green and Springfield Township

I-77 northbound and southbound between the Stark County line to just south of SR 241 has various daily and nightly lane restrictions for resurfacing and minor bridge repairs. These restrictions will occur nightly between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. and during daytime hours on weekends.

This $4.8 million project to resurface I-77 and perform bridge repairs is scheduled to be completed by mid-October 2019.
